I just wanted to share that I'm aspec (demiro/appressexual) and I've never heard of the term areproductive before, but I think it fits me so perfectly.
I just always thought of having biological kids and somethign in me went, 'no.' (love the idea of adopting though)
Never knew there was a term for it, but I feel so seen.
I'm gonna start using it.

Hi! I'm aroace, and I just heard of the term areproductive from one of the asks you just answered, and I think it's a very interesting label. I've always been very sure that I don't want biological kids (mostly because I don't want to pass on my awful genes) but I've always been somewhat interested in raising a child, and have considered adopting or fostering as something that could be in my future. Thank you for making me aware of this term!

I remember the cute shorthand for areproductive (like aro for aromantic or ace for asexual) back in the day was ari, if anyone's interested.

I think I might be demi-reproductive. Like, I would adopt a kid and assume parental roles if I were to bond with them first, but I don't want kids just for the idea of kids.

I've never heard of areproductive, but I LOVE it. I never felt right in childfree as a label (mostly cuz I love kids and might want to adopt), but I definitely don't want to use my body for that, so this feels...right.
