The body has an aggressive, but not fully puckering, sourness up front with medium acidity and some nice complexity to the yeast. The plum qualities are there, but not over the top -- they linger and add some nice dark fruit complexity.

Uiltje Big Fat 5 Double IPA on tap at Arendsnest in Amsterdam. A 3 of 4. Smells of pine and some lighter tropical notes. Much the same in the body with mostly resinous hop notes and fainter tropical qualities. Nice firm bitterness in the body, and finishes clean -- drinks on the lighter side for an 8% DIPA.
