out of your OCs, with regards to saying foreign names and languages, who is more likely to:
-not even try
-make a sincere, hesitant, but poor attempt
-march forward with confidence and mangle it
-march forward with confidence and nail it
Ooh, thank you for the ask! I have now spent Entirely Too Long Thinking About It and am incapable of not hemming and hawing about nuance so. I'm just gonna sort these in order from most to least bad at foreign languages
tl;dr: Areia (kind of White American about it, doesn't mean to do harm but probably does from obliviousness) -> Fasti (country boy, not good at languages and feels So Bad) -> Indesi (pretty good at languages, and fairly adaptable when she fucks up) -> Carthach (natural talent, good ear for mimicry) -> Ahma (polyglot, probably already knows how to pronounce your name but doesn't take well to corrections)
And now for More In Depth:
Areia is from the imperial core so like. She speaks One Language. It has never occurred to her to learn any other language. Everyone she'll ever meet surely will have learned her language so like why bother right. I think she sort of tries to pronounce things right? But if she gets it wrong she's definitely got that Imperial Core Mindset of like wow these foreign words are just so hard and spelled so weird I don't get it haha. Like it's not coming from a place of malice and she doesn't realise she's being kind of rude, it's just kind of like that thing where English speakers have a running joke about how hard it is to pronounce Welsh words even though Welsh is an incredibly phonetic language and once you've gotten the rules down you can pronounce pretty much any word, unlike English's Frankenstein of a language that's imported like 10 different pronunciation rules that makes any new word kind of Total Guess even if you're fluent. So she's sort of a cross between 'doesn't try' and 'confidently mangles it', although if you put in the energy/effort to try and correct her she will try and say it better bc she does want to be considerate
Fastulfr is a country bumpkin who never had any formal education and mostly can't even read, so he's actually likely had even less exposure to other languages than Areia has (given she was a decently educated person in a metropolitan area known for their trade so she's at least like. Heard other languages spoken). Despite that I'm rating him higher bc he was raised bilingual (cyrodiilic and nordic or whatever the Nord language is called) so he has something of a basis for how differing languages Feel To Speak, and also he's got enough anxiety that he'd put a lot of effort into not pronouncing people's names wrong. So ultimately I feel like he's the sincere, hesitant type who probably mostly gets it wrong but not always, and once he's been corrected he can wrap his mouth around it maybe a little quicker than Areia can. Even if he looks like he wants to die from the mortification of it all.
Indesi has actually actively learned another language, although it was in the same like. Language Family as her native tongue. She was raised with dunmeris and cyrodiilic, and took the time to learn the ashlander dialect due to the whole being an ashlander saint thing. Also pronouncing the names of the daedric shrines around vvardenfell must have been something of a trial by fire when it comes to pronouncing unfamiliar words. I think she tends to make a confident stab at things, although she probably has more experience with elvish languages than human ones, and probably struggles reading out words with a lot of silent letters given how phonetic ashlander names seem to be. Like sure you may lose track of syllables when you're saying adadshashanammu but like. Nothings Hiding there it's a pretty straightforward word in and of itself. If she found out Cholmondeley was pronounced 'chum-lee' she'd throw a fit.
Carthach also speaks three languages (reachtongue, nordic, cyrodiilic), although he was raised with all three of them. I also think he's probably been going back and forth on whether he wants to learn orcish. Ultimately I've rated him higher than Indesi bc 1) those three languages are probably different enough that they've given him a good base for What's Different Between Languages if that makes sense, 2) he was raised a reachman, and if the Irish comparison holds up at all in universe then reachtongue is probably one of the languages that gets the most Shit for being unpronounceable and he doesn't want to do that to some other poor schmuck, and 3) I think he just has a genuine talent. A good ear for languages. Like if you introduce yourself like 'hi, I'm [x]' he'll hear it and be able to repeat it fairly well. He's not a super strong reader even in languages he does know so he might struggle with that, but at least audibly and verbally I'd say he's probably Confident and Gets It Mostly Right.
Ahmarji speaks the most languages of any of my tes ocs, and most of those have been Learned. She grew up with ta'agra and cyrodiilic, but she travelled a lot in her teens and hates to look stupid, so she picked up a lot while she was travelling to make sure she knew what people were saying about her. Also she's an academic in a field filled with paranoid loners, so sometimes she might.... Acquire™️ some necromancers notes to use as reference material and the necromancer has Not written in cyrodiilic for the express purpose of trying to make their notes unusable for most strangers. She's gotta know a lot of languages to get around that. I wouldn't say she's fluent in every (main) language? Fluent in ta'agra, cyrodiilic, daedric, and bretic (had to look that up) for sure, maybe fluent or near-fluent in altmeri and bosmeri, definitely getting there in nordic since all the dragonborn stuff, and the rest she's either like. Functionally conversational in (yoku (also had to look that up), dunmeris)), or at least knows the Important Words For Tourists like 'help' 'please and thank you' 'sorry I don't speak [x]', etc (orcish, jel (from the page on uesp i think jel might be her white whale. It seems like a hard language to learn and she hates not being able to do things)). All this to say, very few things are truly 100% foreign to her. She's got a fairly decent grasp on the grammar and pronunciation rules for even the lesser known languages like reachtongue (absolutely no research will escape her grasp >:((() so any mistakes she makes might just be like. An unavoidable casualty of her accent, which she refuses to train herself out of due to principles. All this to say she's Confident, Nails It, but unlike any of the rest of my ocs if she doesn't nail it she refuses to try again and you just have a new name now
