Some people think that “emotional music” is basically only classical or 90’s sad music or slow piano orchestral stuff
I don’t understand that because some of the most emotional songs I’ve ever heard in my life to me have been techno, happy hardcore, etc. they aren’t just party songs to me, I can’t explain it but like...listen to this song for example, it gets me real emotional.
I’m not even talking about the lyrics here but the sound itself. It is fast paced throughout the whole song, but to me begins with such a sad sounding melody and then quickens into a tense sounding dramatic..”story”? Up into the drop which then adds another layer of sound that (to me) sounds desperate, then with the “no!” It slows back to the beginning melody and then around 2:12 is when I can’t quite place the emotion I feel. The whole song delivers for me.
My brain processes sound differently I feel. This song always gave me much more of a heartache than any of the typical breakup songs or piano pieces do. Fast paced songs just HIT somewhere in my neurons and I can feel the entire spectrum of emotion from them rather than just the one singular emotion I get from “regular” song genres.
