oh god yes! when i was in high school i used to get embarrassed a bit (not over hp b/c half the school was obsessed), but by the time i got to college i was like “fuck yeah i’m a nerd, i’m sorry that you’re not. that sounds so…boring”

IKR? Life must be SO BORING without all the cool fandom stuff? Seriously, what does everyone do with their time? I genuinely do not know. But it must be boring. Definitely. People need to appreciated nerdiness more.

EXACTLY! Being a geek/nerd is a big part of my identity, actually kinda the biggest (maybe it's a tie with being queer), but yeah why would I be ashamed of being excited about things and happy because of awesome things?

I KNOW RIGHT? They're all sorta my age, some younger, some older so there would have had to be another Potter person but idk? At least our teacher confirmed he read them at college (in English, he added) so yeah, at least I'm not completely alone but still. That must have been such a sad, lonely and boring childhood.
