A lovely drawing of my very own Adam from ‘Development Hell’. Here’s a little story!

When I was at Arcadecon in July 2015, I was wandering around the trade hall and I came across this lady who was selling her artwork, and I saw that she was offering commissions that happened to be within my price range (I was broke as hell and her prices were reasonable, in other words), so I was like “Hey, I have these OCs and I’d absolutely love to see you draw one of them in your style”. So I gave her my tumblr url and told her where to look, and she was like “Alright, I’ll whip something up and you can collect it tomorrow”.

I enjoyed the rest of my day at the con, partied that night with a bunch of drunk cosplayers, and turned up the following day completely late, hungover and exhausted. The con was closing, people were saying goodbyes, artists were packing their things to leave, the trade hall was a ghost town, etc. So I went to the lady’s booth and she was gone, but a friend of hers was watching the stall. She hands me this drawing and says “Here’s your drawing, she wanted me to give this to you”. Since I was hungover and basically a zombie, I thanked her and then shuffled off to die. 

The point of this story is that, because I am a stupid irresponsible party animal (about half true), I never once got the lady’s name, which is a serious shame because she really deserves to be credited for this!

I don’t have a link to her tumblr (or any other site of hers) and I’m working on tracking her down so that I can thank and credit her for this; I’m basing my search off of the signature but I suck at reading handwriting and I dunno if it says ‘Kaa’ or ‘Kaci’ or what.. Anyway, if anyone happens to know the artist, please let me know because she seriously deserves to be credited! :) 

I’ll edit this post and add a link to her site as soon as I find her. :D

So another Arcadecon has come to a close.

I’m sure you all follow our facebook group and have experienced the amazing out-pouring of emotions and love for our weekend. 

We’re humbled, thrilled and most of all deeply touched by it (again, check the facebook, that stuff has incited some ugly crying)

The tumblr is still going. We’re not sure where. But the road goes ever on.

Thank you one and all, for the panels you sat in, the cosplays you slaved over, the friends you made and the artists whose eyes you lit up with your kind words. You’re what we do this for.
