Jack's final words to Scion to convince him to go nuts were... underwhelming, but I kind of knew that was the case.
Better than Arcs 12 and 13, not as good as Arc 14. Mostly due to a lack of Amy, and an excess of Jack.
I'm not really sure why the detour to Ellisburg was necessary. Didn't really add much to the story except to like, muddle the question of who ends the world, I guess? And maybe just to visit a place that's kind of lurked around the edge of the story for a while?
Good fight scenes, some good chances to get a look at Theo, and some of the Chicago Wards... A plethora of pointless S9 clones, Saint being a fucking idjit..
I mean, it's good, overall. Worm hit it's nadir with 17-19. 26 is... fine. I'd say 21 and 23 both beat it out. 24 is... ugh, and 25 is a bit of a scattershot mess.
The fucking baby is finally dead, so there's that. Been waiting for that since Taylor said Drugs Are Fantastic.
The final fight against Jack feels... muddled, confused, and... I'm not entirely clear why Grey Boy suddenly turned on him? Is it like... Grey boy internalized Jack's 'lessons' or something and turned them on him?
I might have to read the second half of 26.y again sometime to get a clear idea of like, what and when and how the exact order of events was because I'm kinda unclear on that. My eyes weren't really glazing over, so its not that I missed something, I think, like with 19 and the exact specifics around Echidna's final death, but... I am confused.
Golden Morning begins and four more arcs of mindless destruction and devastation while the characters flail uselessly against him and then figure it out.
But at least Amy's coming back soon, so I'll take it.
