Don’t take your friends and family for granted. Tell them you love them while they are here. Call them. Write them a note of encouragement. Sit and visit a few minutes. Invest quality time with family. Pray for them and Pray with them. Don’t be so quick to turn on the television or any man-made games that grabs your attention away from those precious moments that can be so quickly snatched away. A photo caught my eye of a friend who went home to The Lord in the past year. I was tagged in the photo.  It caught me off off-guard to see that beautiful gentle smile a few moments ago. I’ve had a few family members and friends who almost haven’t made it to see today. I thank God that their chapter isn’t finished it. Maybe I’m being selfish. Maybe I just don’t want to feel the sting of their absence. I’m mature enough that the words, “Alright Now”, “Quit It”, “Keep On”, “Go ‘head On”, and a few others could start something or shut it down, without you lifting your head. You didn’t have to stop what you were doing. You didn’t have to raise your voice or your hand. And gosh darnit, you best not pick up a rock to throw at that big-headed, annoying little bugger down the road. Ugghh. I couldn’t stand him. Don’t ask. Anyways, I digress, there was no gunplay. Nobody got shot. There was no crime scene tape. If things got serious, there was a knuckle sandwich upside your head, usually 2 guys over a girl. Nobody died.
