I just lost an hour of my life learning how to use instagram, about 45 minutes of that was spent trying different filters on a picture of a teddy bear I took last month.( his name is Mr. Color) Which got me thinking.... I use makeup as a filter. (GASP) I know filters are supposed to make a picture look more appeasing to the eye, impart to the reader the tone of the pic or just say something the scene just doesn't quite impart, but makeup does all that and more for me. I transform myself into the person I want to be that day which is usually more than my clothes and hair can do. Honestly can you imagine Marilyn Monroe with only the white dress and heels on, nope its her iconic makeup that completes the look, the same way the picture below wouldn't quite be the same without the filter making the sky look so blue. 

I honestly don't know how I feel about needing makeup as a filter but I feel so much more vivid with it than without.
