Remember the post in which Brother Rockwood's method of studying was outlined? Brother Diamond had us do the same thing in mission prep. However, he stopped us shortly after we started writing things down for "Apply."
"So, when you're listing the ways you can apply this scripture in your life, is it general? If so, make it more specific. If you make a general goal, you're not as likely to keep it as much as making it really specific."
It's so true when you think about it. If you learn that you shouldn't watch bad things, you say okay and then move on with your life. But if you say, "You know, I think I'm going to stop watching this TV show" then when you are about to watch it you'll remember the standard better.
