#apple scam

Most of the time if you click a drop down and see the actual email address its really obvious that an email is a scam, even if the contents look legit.

Scammers have been using eventbrite to make themselves appear as verified senders at a glance and I'm 100% sure this has tricked more than a handful of folks.

i received this email and gosh, i almost had a fucking panic attack, but only a long time later did i realize that the email address isn’t even the Apple support one, it’s some random letters and numbers

i didn’t see the address before bc the email itself looked authentic AND it has that IP address in it, and i ended up accessing the link through my phone. it opened to a fake site that looks a LOT like the official Apple one

and after putting my email and password, the site ALSO asks for personal information

like, none of the other links in this page work and yeah, it may have the green lock thing saying it’s a “safe” website, but i found out that the ppl behind it made a way to register the fake site as “apple.com”; this is better explained here (this link is safe, i guarantee)

i fortunately didn’t give anything out, but dude, i was really fucking scared - and it bothers me to find out that many other people have also received similar spam

srsly, how can humanity be so cruel to the point of stealing others’ informations like this???  this is really messed up and i have never been so angry in my life
