One of the things I imagined, as I imagined Xur and Zane while playing The Forest, is this plant. Chicory. It's the exact shade of blue Xur likes, and leaves to roots, it can be eaten. Really nice in the game, but the details of that would probably be boring. Bitter, but Xurs don't care about that.
It's been too long since I had him openly love sharproot (ginger).

ANYWAY!
I've been fretting over the name for a long time, overlapping with my fretting over the name for that shade of blue. Cornflower? Terribly organic, terribly Earth. Everything else? Not descriptive enough.
But I don't think I've named anything bluepetal yet, so bluepetal it is.
Images I've had:
Xur casually plucking and eating bluepetal as he and Zane walk from one place to another.
Them building a base, and Xur going out to forage while Zane watches from higher up and shoots the enemies around him.
Xur gets hypothermia (why? why did I ever think this?) and feels a surge of affection when he opens his eyes to the food Zane's brought him, and sees that it's a collection of bluepetal.
Xur weaving the flowers into the kind of bracelet he thinks he's heard about, and slipping it onto Audra's wrist. (An I'm sorry after an argument if they have one, or maybe I'm growing as a person and you're part of why, maybe I like you, maybe they're pretty.)
Slipping another onto Zane's. (I like you. They're pretty.) Dreaming of getting Zane to grow his hair out, and weaving flowers into braids. Decorating their new quarters with it.
Stuff like that.
