some kids are always notoriously late. others often don’t show up until half the class is over and seokjin is in the middle of explaining the vanishing spell to his fifth year class for them to be able to do it for their O.W.Ls.
cody kwon had the unfortunate luck of being caught doing the latter.
these instances, he’s noticed, have been increasingly occurring and, though he would’ve ignored such a thing in his younger years, seokjin has had the pleasure of being married to a wife who’s taught him the value of sympathy. additionally, cody’s written work doesn’t seem to be suffering all too much if based on the reading material he’s assigns at the end of every class.
it’s pure luck ( on the child’s part ) that seokjin chances upon him and a few bullies -- the sight of him makes them scatter as seokjin’s steps quicken with every intention of sending them all to detention and taking away house points. the look on his face is not one to be trifled with and, apparently, not easy to get rid of; the furrow between his brows remains as he’s near enough to ask: “are you alright, mr. kwon?”
