1 and 2 donât have canon names from what i can tell (though 2 is called Loran in the DQ Monsters manga that is currently releasing in english), 3 is simply called by his title, Erdrick. 4 does have canon names: Solo (boy) and Sofia (girl). 5 is Madason (Luka in the upcoming film, Abel in some japan-only materials). 6 is usually called Rek or Botsu due to the manga and some japan-only material. 7 was Arus on PS1 and Auster on 3DS. Starting from 8, theyâre just called by the number of the game: Eight, Nine, X ( the only exception) and Eleven. Eleven, like the protag from 3, also gets called by his title: The Luminary.Â
I did see that Erdrick is a title thatâs given to heroes, so in my head, the original Erdrickâs real name is Loto (reversed in Japan; real name Erdrick, hero name Loto), just cus I think itâs a shame to lose that name completely just because of translation.Â
