Cornwall and Brittany playing a game
Cornwall: Bre? Why is your inventory full of butter?
Brittany: bah. to eat. (Obviously)
Cornwall: you're cooking with it you mean?
Brittany: nah. I eat it like that.
Cornwall: BRE! WTF
Some Cornwall headcanons
Bc I havenāt made a hc post in a while
Cornwall is the second oldest in her family, born somewhere between the 5th and 6th century. Cornwall herself likes to say 6th century to make herself seem younger.
Much like the rest of her family, she can see and communicate with magical creatures. She has a little pixie friend called Tamsin, who constantly hangs around with her.
She is also the shortest in her family, standing at 5ā, or about 152cm. Sheās also a bit on the chubbier side, this is not to say she is not strong!
She was a pirate, and a ruthless one, she considers those to be her āglory daysā. She was on the same ship as England, and she captained it! (Though England might say otherwise)
A coastal area, she lives that beach life, and helps out with speed boat rides and pirate ship rides. She absolutely loves the sea.
She is the best cook and the best baker in the family. Cornish pastries are loved all over England, as is their clotted cream. Not to mention, she knows how to make a good fish and chips.
Cornwall is a loud personality, boisterous and adventurous. Sheās the fun aunt type figure, who is constantly going on about the most wildest stories. She just never stops talking.
She has a pet dog- a dobermann- called Bleydhik. Heās half the size of her, and is genuinely scary, but she calls him her big baby.
Out of her siblings, sheās the closest to wales, they get along like a house on fire, funny considering their polar opposite personalities.
So I have a Cornwall OC whoās Englandās older sister, and who was also a pirate, and Iāve become OBSESSED with the idea of them being part of the same crew, with Cornwall as the captain, and England is secretly SO MAD abt that. Stroppy younger sibling who doesnāt like that their old sibling is in charge vibes.
tired fishing aunt with a really good head for geology... and also arthurās overlooked sister (begrudgingly)

Day Three - Betrayal
If your characters (including Brittany, Isle of Man and Cornwall) were to be animals, what sort of animals would they be? Just a fun ask OwO
Oooooh I really like the question! :DĀ
I thought I would have written the ideas out as some point, but it seems like I never got around to it. So here are the animals that I think my characters would be! ^^Ā Ā
Ireland - Red fox: I know a vast majority of people associate Scotland with the red fox, but honestly for me, it makes more sense to see Ireland as a fox. The fox is often treated as a nuisance and as a pest that needs to be eradicated⦠a bit like how the English historically treated the Irish! :D Perhaps thatās a bit too much on the nose, but a lot of comparisons have been drawn between the foxes and the Irish. I also headcanon that the oldest human name Ireland would have had wasĀ āCrimthannā, which is an old Irish name meaningĀ āfoxā. I just like connecting Ireland with the fox. ;w;Ā
Scotland - Red stag: As said before, a lot of people tend to associate Scotland with the foxes⦠however, Iāll raise you the idea of Scotland being associated with red deer. Especially the red stag. :D Itās my personal interpretation, but I always saw Scotland as being someone who is extremely proud and also tries to give off an air of noble courage. So yeah, the stag always felt like a better fit for Scotland.
Wales - Badger: This is probably a bit of a strange choice (as most people probably see Wales as being either a dragon or a sheep), but I kind of found that the badger fit Wales more personality-wise than any other animals. Thereās the belief that badgers, if cornered, will lash out and bite the other in the leg and keep tightening their grip until they hear the bone snap. If you were a human in this case, your best course of action would be to grab a stick and break it in half, tricking the badger into believing that it had broken the bone and letting go. Obviously this is a complete myth, but the attitude attributed to badgers in the story really makes me think of Wales. A solitary and relatively passive animal, but if cornered the badger is a force to be reckoned with. There are also other aspects of the badger that I felt fit Wales, such as the digger trait and the endurance and determination of a badger.Ā
Northern Ireland - Hedgehog: Iām not sure if this choice seems very predictable. ;w; But yeah, the hedgehog seems to be a perfect fit for Northern Ireland. Thereās his prickly attitude that is Northern Irelandās best defense and very often he just wants to curl up and be left in peace. So aside from the protective aspect of the hedgehog, some other attributes connected with it that also match up with Northern Ireland is perception and intuitiveness. He can be pretty perceptive, more than his brothers realize.Ā
Now for the other OCs, Iāll freely admit that I didnāt develop them nearly as deeply. However I will still share what I think they would be as animals.Ā
Isle of Man - Cat: Yeah, I based myself a bit on the Manx cat breed, but I also feel Isle of Manās personality fits into that of a cat pretty well. Heās quite calm and enjoys his own space, while still placing himself in a position where he can keep an eye on the others to make sure theyāre alright. X) He has a bit of a standoffish attitude, but heās definitely not unapproachable.Ā Ā
Cornwall - Hare: Hmmm Iām not as convinced of this choice, but Cornwall is one of my most nervous OCs and that kind of reminded me of a hare. Other traits that are generally identified with the hare that I thought fit Cornwall are swiftness and vigilance.Ā Ā
Brittany - Otter: I feel a bit more certain of this choice compared to Cornwall, since I think the otter fits Brittany pretty well! Otters appear in Celtic mythology as good-humoured teachers and protectors. There is also the fact that the otter is often thought of as aĀ āwater dogā, which implies their devotion and loyalty to family and those they cherish the most. So⦠values that fit Brittany perfectly! ^^Ā
You should doodle a Cute Cornwall for St Pirin's Day... Assuming you are up for it. I understand if you are not. I meant to doodle Scotland for St. Andrews Day and I am only a *little* late lol But your Your British Isle OCs are always so cute and awesome so I thought of you when I realized it was Cornwall's Day
Ask and you shall receive! ^^ Have a Cornish cutie for St. Piranās Day! A bit late on my side, but itās still the 5th of March somewhere in the world, so itās honestly not the latest Iāve ever been to celebrating a patron saint of a Celtic nation. Oh you have no idea how often I missed Irelandās Saint Patrickās Day, and I donāt think I ever did anything celebrating the other patron saints of the Celtic nations. ;w;
Thank you so much for your doodle prompt, I donāt think I can even remember the last time I drew my Cornwall. Far too long ago, thatās what!Ā
