SEDA in Apache Camel
Staged Even Driven Architecture or SEDA is an architectural style used in the Apache camel for orchestration. Simply put SEDA is fueled by an unbounded blocking queue underneath the system. SEDA calls are handed over to a separate thread thus making it async as compared to DIRECT calls. In the current application I am working on for one of the top-most electronics and music company, Apache camel is being used for orchestration with lot of SEDA calls. SEDA clearly is the winner in the space of async without going for a massive solution like JMS queues
