i think she first picked up a lizard or something as a result of pure fascination and curiosity but begins to get more adventurous once she sees her dad’s reaction to the bugs/animals 😭 slowly goes from caterpillars, to beetles, to little frogs, to lizards, garden snakes and more as she gets older. like you said, eren damn near faints the first time she brings a snake home LMAO

i imagine eren’s daughter to be just like eren when he was younger (yk, adventurous and chaotic), so i think she would purposely bring home little creatures as an attempt to startle eren. he probably tries so hard not to look scared but she can see right through him (“it’s okay daddy, he doesn’t bite.”)

when her kittens finally arrive eren makes it his sworn duty to care for the kittens. peep him watching kitten lady videos at 3 am so that he can take proper care of the them. he’s constantly watching over the mama cat to make sure she’s healthy, he just finds it so fascinating that such a tiny cat like her can carry and raise so many kittens at once. and when the kittens start to wean off of their mother he’s very proactive in making sure that they’re getting enough enrichment. talks to them during their feeding times and kisses them goodnight :(( when it’s finally time for the kittens to be adopted he’s hysterical, and is wayyy more attached to the kittens than the mama cat is 😭 it’s no surprise when he ends up begging to keep a pair of the kittens as well as their mama <33
