how do i find really good and really long ao3 fics??? i always see people talking about 200k best fanfic they’ve ever read but i can never find exactly what im looking for, and all the ones i can find are only like 1k words, pleaseeee help and give me recs for hp fics!!

Does the tag on ao3 “Major Character Death” refer to a major character in your fic or in the fandom you are writing a fic for?
Ok so kind of an out of character post but I’m using a site skin that wasn’t made by me and I know very little about CSS, so I was wondering how I can change the image to something that hurts my eyes less? I really like this skin but as someone prone to headaches and migraines the sparkles are a bit too much for me (especially since they have an animation which isn’t shown in the screenshot. (Cut off added because image may cause issues for photosensitive users)
I’ve never gotten super into AO3, but I’d like to create a space to post some of my writings either for feed back, or, you know, share super gay ass fantasy smut 🤷♂️
The thing is though, ik AO3 is primarily fan writings, so I’m not sure how well original works are taken on the platform. I’m also relatively new to Tumblr so idk how the realm of writers post on here, but do some find it easier to share links to their works or cross post or maybe post like the first few paragraphs and then the link? Also, tagging on AO3 seems so intimidating lmao. I hardly even know how to do that when searching and even then it feels like idk wtf I’m doing.
Anyway, maybe an orc smut will be on the way soon. Who knows.
