Oh to be floating in a pool with my 15 foot long snake boyfriend. Really proud of the inner tubes and the water on this one.

Drawing these guys more now in my free time. Shy Jungi could only make one human shaped cookie since Anzuya’s always lurking around when sweets are being made. And when he’s around no sweet is safe.

Anzuya’s Past

Warnings: mentions of death, religious trauma, starvation, Anzuya’s POV.

A date with Anzuya is always different but here’s a typical first date with him. Something I was holding on to to post with art but, I’m behind haha.

- He will ask you out first, making sure you know it’s a date and not just hanging out as friends. He wants to woo you as hard as possible.

- He’s showing up over dressed just so you know. But you’re not expected to dress any certain way, he likes that you are comfortable in your own style.

- Must start with coffee or tea. His treat at your favorite cafe. Of course he’s getting the sweetest drink he can find on the menu, might even grab a pastry to share.

- If he gets a cold drink (which he probably will) you’ll have to hold his hand while you window shop. If you stay at the cafe to enjoy your drinks he’ll ask if he can put an arm around you to warm up a little.

- Likes to talk about work but will listen to you more than talk when on a date. If you watch his eyes closely you’ll be able to watch his slit pupils dilate and contract as he’s listening to your stories.

- His real destination is the art gallery that just opened a new exhibition. Anzuya loves the arts and wants to see if he can possibly meet the artist at the opening. He wants to impress you a little with how big his social circle is. But don’t worry he’s totally focused on you still, he just has to shake this one person’s hand and then he’s back to being a bystander.

- If the venue is big he’ll take a break from walking before viewing everything, he likes standing under the display lights because they’re warm but some people think he’s being vain and pretending to be a work of art. Though he IS a work of art.

- After the gallery he wants to take you to a fancy dinner. Might stop by his studio so you both can dress up for fun. He’s got lots of styles and there’s one thing he’s been dying to see you in. He’s happy to help you undress if you’re ready but please feel free to use the changing room if you’re not.

- Might have to kiss you once or twice before leaving the studio. You’re so cute. You look so good in that outfit. He’s had such a great day with you so far. And he needs to take a moment to tell you.

- Back on track, he links arms with you as you stroll into the restaurant lit up with candles and string lights. You’re surprised at how crowded it is yet you’re able to walk in and get a table right away.

- At dinner he orders himself a sweet cocktail and whatever your drink of choice is. He orders something small and nibbles while you talk about whatever is on your mind. If you’re less of a talker he’s happy to tell you about his travels or his adventures.

- He’s over 400 years old in human years but there’s still a lot he hasn’t done so he makes sure to tell you how much he’s enjoying even the ordinary things.

- After dessert, because there absolutely has to be dessert, he reveals a little present he picked out for you. He’d asked an artist friend to make it for you, a little sculpture of a snake coiled up that fits right in the palm of your hand. He wanted to give you your first piece of art. As long as you’re with him he promises to make sure your gallery is as beautiful and unique as you make him feel.

- After dinner it’s time to decide. Is he walking you home or are you slithering back to his place together? 👀

Tbh I had a couple of OCs that I’ve had since middle school that were involved in a vampire romance and as much I loved them I wanted to start a new project. While studying code I started finding a lot of resources for making visual novels and dating sims, and while I’m light years away from that I’m kind of hoping to make one!

I’m currently throwing around a gender neutral MC design that will represent the protagonist. But I’m hoping that readers will kind of apply their own traits and personality. 😊

Nagas were my gateway drug. I fell in love with a headcanon a friend on tumblr introduced me to years ago about Levi from OM! From there I started getting more into monster OCs and boyfriends.

Cozy Tea-Themed OC Asks - Anzuya the Snake edition

English Breakfast: What is your OC’s morning routine?

Takes him almost 30 minutes to get out of bed. Extremely lazy and even more so in the winter. Showers at night so he has less to do in the mornings. Dresses for the weather but will wear hoodies and sweaters even in the middle of summer because he hates being cold. On extra hot days he opts for more formal wear to help regulate his temperature. Can’t start his day without a coffee and goes for whatever the newest sweet drink is at the local cafe.

Earl Grey: Does your OC like to read? What is their taste in books?

Used to be an avid reader, indiscriminately read everything he could get his hands on. Especially if it helped him understand or seem more human. Has slowed down since the modern age and only keeps up with some of his cult favorite authors.

Darjeeling: Where does your OC feel most at home?

At home. Anzuya can blend in with a crowd with the best of the extroverts but he isn’t truly himself until he can get home and to his room. For someone who is cold most of the time he does not like to be clothed any longer than he has to be. Immediately puts on his lounge wear and lays under his heat lamps and blanket pile.

Oolong: How does your OC decorate their space?

A bit of a maximalist. Refers to his room as his den and keeps a lot of momentos from over the years. Some things may seem random or misplaced but he has a story attached to everything. Old train tickets? A special trip he had the most delicious tiramisu on. Scarf full of holes? His favorite designer gave that to him after their debut fashion show. Hundreds of stories are kept around his room.

Lapsang Souchong: If your OC was a scented candle, what would they smell like?

He has a warm, rich scent that follows him everywhere. He’s rather sensitive to smells so he likes to make sure his signature scent is on point. He has notes of amber, sandalwood, vétiver, mixed with just a hint of musk and neroli.

Chai: What is your OC’s comfort food/drink?

Has a sickening sweet tooth. Hasn’t shut up about the strawberry sakura latte he had 10 years ago. But his go to for comfort is any milky frappe. He will complain about being cold afterwards though so be prepared to hold his hand or cuddle with him at the cafe.

Pu-erh: What does your OC do when they’re stuck indoors for a day or two?

Sleeps. Anzuya is so lazy unless he has to work. If it’s winter he’ll spend the entire day in bed. During the summer he’s more likely to do an impromptu spa day or do some magazine collaging.

Green: What is your OC’s favorite piece of clothing?

As long as he’s home or in his den, he wears loose fitting lounge wear. Lots of open robes, loose fitting pants, particularly loves harem pants. When he’s in his snake form he prefers his silkier robes.

Jasmine: Does your OC like flowers? Which type of flower is their favorite?

He doesn’t really love or hate flowers but strong smelling ones can be a bit overwhelming. If someone gives him flowers he usually puts them in the shared living space.

Matcha: What is your OC’s preferred little treat?

The sweetest frappe on the menu. Doesn’t matter if it’s covered in rainbow sprinkles or pearls, he will stand in line for every mermaid, unicorn, fairy princess drink if it’s sweet enough.

Lemon Balm: Does your OC have any bedtime habits or rituals?

Must shower before going to bed. He is a little bit of a clean freak in regard to his personal hygiene. After he’s all clean and comfortably dressed, he’s under his hoard of blankets and heating lamp. Once you’re allowed in his room you must be there too, though the blanket pile will thin out a little for your sake. He prefers the skin to skin contact with you so he can steal your heat. If you leave he’ll complain about being too cold.

Peppermint: How does your OC handle the cold?

Whines. Pouts. Moves super slow. Very vocal about his discomfort.

Rooibos: What kind of lighting does your OC prefer? Dim, bright, moody, secret fourth thing?

Direct sunlight is warmest so he prefers that above all else. But second best is the light from the sun in the spring through his window in the morning. The blue sky makes the light brighter and reminds him of the realm he originally came from.

Chamomile: What does your OC do to relax?

Anzuya’s favorite hobby is magazine collaging. He’ll take fashion magazines of all kinds and clip outfits and models to pieces then fit them back together in different ways. This helps keep him inspired for his human job as a personal stylist, but also helps him relate to others more. When he’s not doing that he’s snacking on sweets or drinking sugary coffees. He’s most relaxed when he’s snuggling with you, particularly with his cheek pressed against your tummy.
