Please tell me more about the Aaron "wouldn't fucking say that"
okay yay aaron time! im so not normal about him.
I will say people tend to get him right in a lot of ways, its just the subtle stuff where they lose me and thats just bc i am Insane About Him. and ik i am so its okay! self awareness!
but my main one is Aaron isnt particularly mean. I know its fun to represent him as the rude teenager type and i do laugh at that representation especially when he’s being bitchy to neil and all. but yeah i feel like that’s wrong. Aaron to me is quiet, he doesn’t go out of his way to join a conversation. his whole thing for me is he wants to be Normal. not even loved or cared for, just accepted and to not stand out. I’ve went before on a rant explaining why i dont think aaron is homophobic because of a genuine hatred of queerness but rather hating how it makes you different and stand out.
now the other half of this coin is, Aaron isnt mean On Purpose. he makes the conscious effort not to. actually one of my favorite posts I have made is about this. When you grow up how he did, neglected and unloved and made to feel like your very existence is a burden, its easy to be angry. Aaron to me is a very angry person. but he also doesn’t want to be angry, he recognizes where that comes from and resents it. so in every way Andrew tries to make himself scary because he feels vulnerable, Aaron tries to make himself quiet because he feels like a monster. which again, ties back to him wanting to blend in and be normal.
