i think stein gives DTK cigarettes at some point and he is like "this doesnt do anything for me" but keeps smoking them occasionally just to have something to do with his mouth
i think both maka and soul sneak cigarettes away from each other specifically and sometimes they will walk onto the balcony at the same time like "OH. UH. JUST GETTING SOME AIR" They are soft alcohol drinkers.
i think BS is unfortunately straight edge the way Bakugo MHA is. He has tried drinking but his alcohol tolerance is way too high for him to safely actually get drunk.
