Before and after a battlebots competition
Luma Robotics Robots: Uprising
This Viper kit was actually my first robot ever, being purchased in late 2017. The only reason I have not competed with Uprising yet is the lack of competitions in the New England area that are not NHRL. Despite this, Uprising does have one win under its belt from a grudge match with fellow Viper kit, Buddybot at NHRL during downtime between tournament fights. Uprising is not due to fight anytime soon, but I do have upgrades planned for when I finally stop being lazy and enter this in a competition.
Recently went to a really big robot fighting competition and did fairly well! You can check out the fights here and see some more of the photos I took here and here.
I had some pretty good fights, especially for Chlorine!
Day 2 of the event went well enough.

Hello all! Derin here with an update on Fluorine, my robot.
I've made a number of improvements to the robot recently
- A new weapon that weighs 125 grams, over a quarter of the total weight.
- A redesigned weapon frame that is a bit lighter and just looks better.
- A slightly modified chassis which fixes a small fitting issue with the frame not sitting "flush" with the top surface of the chassis.
- A redesigned top plate that gets rid of a structural weakness the old one had, namely the grills
I'm hoping these changes will allow Fluorine to perform even better at future events, and I look forward to testing them in Tallahassee in a few weeks!
That's all for now, keep being cool my Halogen Homies!
Forgot to say this here, but I went to a robot fighting event this weekend. I got first place with Fluorine!
You can see the fights here.
Hi everyone! I had some fun news to share. I appeared in a local magazine where I talked about my experience with BattleBots and robot combat! Figured I'd share the article here so you could read it if you like!
