This probably has been done before, but here are some websites that are damn useful if you’re a writer and struggling with words.
FUCK I ALREADY USED THAT WORD 2 SENTENCES BEFORE
Way more practical than Tumblr posts that you may find back on Pinterest. thesaurus.com is one of my most used website when it comes to finding a synonym. You just need to type in the word you’re using (e.g. happy) and it’s going to give you synonyms of that word. Simple as that.
HOW DO YOU FUCKING CALL THAT WARM THINGY??
Let’s face it, there have been times where we couldn’t remember what was the word we wanted. And there’s a solution for that! OneLook is a life saver. For example, that “warm thingy”. You can’t remember what’s it called? Type that bad boy in and the website is going to find it for you!
WHAT RHYMES WITH “SUN”????
If by any chance you’re writing poetry, you may need that one. Let me tell you about RhymeZone. Let’s say you’re looking for a word that rhymes with “sun”, but you can’t think of any at the moment. Well, you know what to do. Head to the website, type “sun” and m a g i c, it’s going to give you a bunch of words and sentences that rhymes with your word! The website also offers to find antonyms, synonyms, homophones, related words and so on. So really damn useful.
HOW DO I FUCKING START
I know how hard it is when it comes to starting a new chapter or a new paragraph. That’s why I sometimes use randomwordgenerator. I’m going to be completely honest, I don’t really use it. When I do, it’s mostly to find inspiration. But hey, who knows? Maybe you’re going to find your first line starter there!
If you have any more websites like those that are useful to writers (or even students that struggle to write essays or what), please feel free to recommend them!
Lend Definition: to give something to someone for a short period of time, expecting it to be given back Example: I will lend you my car Synonyms: advance, loan, grant, afford, present Antonyms: resume, retract, appropriate, retain, withhold, refuse Tag's #SynonymsAntonyms #Synonyms #Antonyms #ieltsvocabulary #ielts #vocabulary #englishvocabulary #englishteachers #english #elearning https://www.instagram.com/p/CkRn8h9S0ad/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
I’ve been noticing a lot of antonyms in my studies recently, so I thought I’d put together a collection of antonym pairs that come up a lot for me or that I find particularly useful. As I’ve learned words that seem similar, like 严厉 and 严格, knowing antonym pairs has actually helped me distinguish these words.
Note: Some of these pairs are not “exclusive” because a single word can have multiple antonyms. For instance, I’ve also seen 开朗 as the opposite of 内向, but I chose 外向 for this post.
