ANTONIO AUGUSTUS, VALENCIA.
During a weekend trip to Valencia, a beautiful beach city in Spain, I came upon an exhibition of a Portuguese fashion designer, Antonio Augustus.
The exhibition was at the Valencia Institute of Modern Art, a contemporary art museum in the heart of the historic center.
I love bumping into these "fashion moments," because
1) I get to learn new designers, works, publications, etc.
2) it's all about being at the right place at the right moment.
The second reason is the one that I believe is super important, because it's almost (well not "almost"Â but one hundred percent!) luck. And seeing something really stimulating and inspiring and simply beautiful comes out as an absolutely stunning experience.
Enough with my dreamy thoughts and on with the exhibition report!
Ropes stretched across the walls with rows of runway photos and design sketches...
A circle of draped dresses in all sorts of fun colors and patterns...
As well as some unique prints!
Perfume collections and their adorable matching dresses...!
Something I'd like to have in my jewelry box...
And to wrap up, a classic white wedding dress!
What I always think to myself: I don't have to be in Paris, Milan, New York, nor Tokyo to see fashion.
