I think they might be lost! Luckily Frumpy spotted a nearby village that is totally normal and wont sidetrack them at all!

The first of many bestiary entries to come for the fauna of Antithra!!

Todays subject is the Herx Beetle, the most common beast of burden for cart hauling and trade!

An older piece, but relevant nonetheless!

Frumpy isn't all smiles, snails, and kisses. No, not by a long shot. He does what he does for a couple of reasons. Money, sure. But also the thrill of the kill.

I should probably write this down by the way, the pink stuff is venom! Think of his venom as operating similarly to that of a real world komodo dragon, coming from the base of his teeth and being suspended in saliva. It's always being produced in relatively large quantities because of the immense excess his body is trying to regulate, but secretion is kicked into overdrive in moments like this one where the adrenaline is pumping.

Symptoms of envenomation by this kobold include anticoagulation, fever, delirium, whispers of a sinister presence beyond the veil, an excessively sweet taste on the palate, and death.

Uh-oh, looks like they must've gotten turned around somewhere along the way to their destination. Good thing it looks like Frumpy spotted something in distance! Hopefully they make it before nightfall. Who knows what lurks in these forests when the sun sets and the mists roll in?
