My brother just insulted me and so I glared at him and he goes...
"Stop looking at me like that. The lighting makes you look too weird."
And my sister looks and goes, "Yeah. Look away."
...Oh.
Strength is described to me on a daily basis more times than I can count, from person to person, online, in books, movies scripts, whether directly or more commonly, indirectly. I’m constantly looking for an answer to what true mental strength is. I am told it can be getting out of bed every morning with a smile when you are depressed. Strength has been described to me as spilling your heart to someone, or making a slight change in your daily life. I have been told strength comes from the heart, comes from the soul, and comes from the mind, to which I see no difference. With every fictitious act of mental strength that has been painted in words for me to evaluate, I see the opposite. This is why I believe I am not made of will and power, determination and strength, but faults and breaking points. I myself have no definition of strength, yet I feel I should formulate my own words on the matter, rather than be fed quotes I read every day.
