and all I can think (other than the sorrow!!!) is where are the anthropologists? Like there’s always botanists getting in the shit, Stella cartography is a thing, but no anthropologists? And the 1 archeologist we meet is a grave robber. Like you’re telling me there’s no forensic anthropologist down on Bajor helping identify people in mass graves? No anthropologists hunting down folk stories and oral traditions, embedding themselves in post occupation bajor to learn about how their faith and cultural practices have adapted/changed after 50 years of oppression?

that there arn’t some on Cardassia doing exactly the same things, working on preserving/archiving the culture?
