It was an influential early center of Christianity. The long and varied history has created many architectural sites of interest, for visitors to see in Antakya. Falling on top of the list, the rock-carved Church of St Peter, a site of Christian pilgrimage. There are also tombs cut into the rock face at various places along the Orontes valley. Followed by this is the Old market district that offers plenty of traditional shops, where you can explore what you have not seen before. And the famous harbiye waterfalls is to fall in love with.
