I'm really glad I took him to pose in front of that graffiti wall. Those vivid colours made a perfect background.
He was the family he Could have had but also Never did.

what is the "ansel problem" ? i don't get it
White actor playing a supposedly indigenous man (I hesitate to name any particular tried, MF is probably on was, in the 1600s and onwards, Monacan land, but the history of the Americas is not static. It would be foolish to assume that the indigenous political landscape observed post-contact at least five hundred years after the Mikaelsons left is what would have been present in 1000 AD without doing additional research) residing on indigenous land who happens to have a Germanic name, who turns into a blood thirsty monster under the light of the full moon. His son also has a Germanic name and is played by a white actor.
I get around this by making my headcanon that there were werewolves on other continents as wellโand while Inadu is the originating point of the curse, I donโt think the original seven werewolf bloodlines are actually limited to her tribe. As with other spells in the series, it's possible that her family was channeling willing witches from the Other Side. I think it's just as likely that when she cursed those present, she also cursed the descendants of any channeled dead witches as well. I make Ansel one of those descendants with Germanic ancestry. I have Ansel make the voyage with the Mikaelsons. I think this also explains when/how Esther's affair with him began and why they were able to communicate with each other. To explain why they didn't wolf out and rip apart the boats during the full moon, I let Esther and Ayana find a temporary solution that allows them to make the voyage. I think it gives Esther a nice backlog of experience with werewolves (that wouldn't make sense if she didn't know they existed before the voyage, which would be the case if they were confined to the Americas) that she can use to support creating both Klaus's necklace and the moonlight amulets.

Found some preserved old photos, drawings on the check tape. The time I was standing behind the cash register was so carefree ๐
