I'm tired of people telling me that I'm on some kind of agenda when it comes to posting about being a black American. I am not on any agenda other than to show all black people aren't criminals or some uneducated stepin-fetchit (Stepin-Fetchit persona embarrassing and harmful anachronism, echoing negative stereotypes.) To quote a dear friend ,"not all black people tap dance for watermelon". If you're not black or brown or minority you have no idea what it's like to be judged by the color of your skin and not as a human-being. To be the only black person at your job. Look down at as if you're two degrees, six certifications and knowledge of the position has no bearing. To be the only black person at the table in a sea of white faces and casually singled out. Ha, brunt of all racist jokes but it's all in good fun right? To be the only one kneeling at a game in while others mock or make fun of you. #Kaepernick To be called to your face shiftless, useless, lazy and the only reason why you're here is to meet a quota. Sitting in the parking garage crying because you have no control over the nasty things that are being said about you. You have no idea what my life is like what other black and brown people life is like. Always afraid of the cops hasseling you because they can. Having someone else's power over you. Praying that your ordeal will be over soon. "Filing a complaint is what white people do nobody cares about you because you're black" yes an officer has told me that. You can't even walk in our shoes to know how it feels to be compared to a fucking monkey. So don't come at me with your bullshit. Come with compassion love and open mind to understanding. If you can't do that then keep on scrolling I don't want to hear your opinion. #anothershooting #racismisreal #blacklivesmatter #alllivesmatter #enoughisenough #steppinfet (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CEYE_7mhfDf/?igshid=czbuswlz0lqz
