Day 2: rain/cold
Ship: Chronohaul
How did it get to this? Just yesterday, Chisaki Kai, or better known by Overhaul, was on top of the world. Now he laid on the floor, crippled and dripping blood. He's tried to get up multiple times, but his boots kept slipping on the wet pavement. Raindrops kept landing in his eyes and it hurt too much to turn on his side.
He turned his head to the side, causing his cheek to dip into his blood. Could all this really be his blood? A shudder went through him when he noticed how many germs and bacteria he was laying in and he couldn't do anything to clean himself off. The rain soothed him slightly as it helped wash off some germs. Everything was so cold. He was sure if he was sitting next to an erupting volcano, he would still be shivering.
His heart wouldn't stop pounding. He's never been in this situation. Practically quirkless and bleeding out. He couldn't reverse the wounds and it didn't seem like any of his pawns were going to arrive anytime soon. Weren't the reinforcements suppose to arrive by now? He had to slow his heartbeat if he wanted to survive. But did he really want to? What else did he want to do if he somehow manage to survive. He was a joke, quirkless and armless. He let out a dry laugh. Kuruno Hari, aka Chronostasis, would probably had taken out a list with hundreds of reasons to stay alive. He hoped Hari got away safe. He tried to get back up again but even getting his foot up seemed to drained him of his strength. He grunted softly as his foot slid off the pavement and his back fell back.
He was getting a throbbing headache. He was sure he hadn't hitted his head but he wasn't so certain anymore. He was starting to feel dizzy even if he hadn't moved an inch. His ears were starting to ring as if a gun was shot next to his ear. He decided to sleep, not caring if he'll wake up later or not. Right before he drifted off, the ground shook under him.
"Where is he?" Kuruno yelled.
He was in the back of a police car when he saw it. The little screen they had set up for him to watch, when the romcom was interrupted with a screen flashing 'BREAKING NEWS!' It showed a group of four people in front of a car crash. Three of the people surrounded one man on the ground. The man on the ground was tied down and seemed to be bleeding. Kuruno squinted agaisnt the screen and gasped. "Let me out!" He screamed. "I need to get out NOW!" He struggled against his restraints and tried to break open the car door. "What's up with him?" One of the officers asked to his partner. "I don't know, he was fine up until a second ago," he said. The one in the passenger seat turned back to him. "Hey hey hey, you're just making it harder for the both of us," he said, fear hidden well in his voice. "LET ME OUT! LET ME SEE KAI!" Kuruno screamed his throat taw, before halting his movements all together. "See that wasn't so ha-" he was stabbed in between his eyes by one of Kuruno's hair needles. "What the hell is go-" stabbed in the head. He retracted the needles and stabbed through his handcuffs. It was their own faults, they were idiots to try to tie his hair up. He noticed the police cars in front and behind him start to swerve off course.
Something landed on the car roof and dented it, narrowly missing his head. A hand crashed through the window and pulled him out. "Let's go," Rappa yelled. He jumped off the car, pulling Kuruno with him, just as the car crashed into the one in front of it. He hadn't realized it was raining until he felt the raindrops land on him. The car behind them crashed next and out stumbled Deidoro Sakaki. He giggled like the drunk bastard he was. His long greasy hair was wet with cheap wine.
A few more crashes and all of the Precepts were back together. Quick planning and Kuruno was to find Chisaki. So here he was, desperate and wet from the rain. "Kai where are you?" He was certain he was at the right place. He recognized it from the news helicopter. Speaking of the helicopter, wasn't Rappa supposed to take it down by now.
A loud distant boom caused the ground shake and he saw the fiery explosion over the trees. "Oh there it is," he said. He quickly shook his head. "I need to find Kai!"
He ran up the highway, things recognizable thanks to the news. Suddenly, he heard a quiet moan. He stopped dead in his tracks, he was lucky to have heard it. "Kai?" Another pained moan. "Kai?!" He walked closer to the direction of the voice. "Hari," a quiet voice called out. He walked closer to the direction of the voice. The rain was pouring sheets at this point.
Then he saw him.
He dropped to his knees. He knew it was him, even see through the blood painted onto his pale skin and his hair dyed red with his own blood. Armless and all. "What did they do to you, Kai," he croaked out. Chisaki just lazily stared up at him with glossy eyes. He scooped his frail figure in his arms and held him close. Even at a time like this, he made sure there was no skin contact. It's just instinct at this point. "Hari," Chisaki whispered to him. Kuruno wasn't able to hold back his tears anymore. Tears flowed from his eyes and spit dribbled down his chin. He'd like to think Kai would wipe his tears away if he still had arms, but he knew that would've never happened. He did expect Kai's face to contort into something of disgust but was surprised to see him smile up at him. "You came," he croaked out. "Of course I did, you fucking idiot," he yelled. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to call you an idiot," he cried out.
Kuruno wiped his face with his sleeve, promptly ripping it off before he went to hold Chisaki again. He leaned up, using every last drop of his strength. "What are you doing?" He cried. "Lay down, stop wasting-" Chisaki closed in the space between him.
'Chisaki is kissing me. Chisaki is kissing me! CHISAKI IS KISSING ME!'
A small shudder went down his spine. It was sloppy, probably because it was his first kiss, but he enjoyed it nonetheless. He never really thought the day would ever come. "Hari," Chisaki whispered into his ear before going limp. "Kai?" Kuruno whispered back. "Kai?" He said as he pulled away. He stared up at him with a small smile, but the look he got made him feel unsettled. His eyes seemed so empty. So dead. Sure he was looking up at him, but was he there. He shook his shoulders lightly. His head rolled off his shoulders like a ragdoll. "Kai!" He knew he wouldn't get a answer he never will. He started to cry again and he wasn't so sure he'll ever stop. He wanted nothing more to cry himself to death, to be with Chisaki again even if he's only been gone for more than a few seconds. His tears dropped onto his pale face, blending with the raindrops and tears.
"You left without saying goodbye."
