i have only watched the ones that wanted to marry me: sylus & zayne’s. love zayne’s one; it was v magical and that braid is stunning. tbh it’s making me want to go back being a zayne main …. 🫣 surprisingly i hated the zayne trailer scene we got with the dancing bc it felt too fairytale-like for my taste but i loved it sm after watching it. story line was also so solid. i’d give this the s-tier grassland romance contender.

sylus’ card might be an unpopular opinion but i didn’t love it as much. i love the beginning up till the meme staircase scene. i found the conversations prior & mc’s concerns in the beginning of the card to be realistic & heartfelt (trying not to spoil it here but if clarifications are needed, lmk) and gave depth to their relationship. the mc this time also felt someone i could relate to; i was basically replying to him in my head & the mc lines were similar if not the exact same. not sure if i built it up so much in my head that i was left wanting more but compared to zayne’s card, sylus’ one left me unfulfilled … 💀 like the whole doomsday line (i think this was in the trailer but idk i didn’t watch it) & the “vows” just didn’t feel as gratifying to me regardless of how it referenced the myths. i did however felt moved when they held hands (the one we get to interact with in memory; trying to not leave spoilers again lol) for reasons that i would require to put spoiler tags here but in general: v light in the dark coded.

i find zayne’s card progression more natural compared to /slightly out of pocket but i will maintain my disbelief/ on how sylus & mc gets their wedding outfits 😃 i think i wanted more out of this card also bc the concern mc brought up in the beginning of the story didn’t feel like it was resolved in a way that made me satisfied. it had progression & some would be content with it but i felt it was lacking … though ig it may mirror how real relationships go i suppose.

anyway im sending you hugs. i hope your mains come home soon. you deserve better 🥺 i still banished sylus from the cafe. still mad at him. i watched his card reluctantly only so i can unlock the ring.

Haha, yes, Riftstar's mate Shineivy died in a blizzard and that was very much on his mind! But also, Riftstar is a pretty light hearted old man. He's patient with apprentices and kits and fair to his warriors and always has good grandpa advice.

I'm curious about one thing, though - how did this go down in-game? Was there a mass-extinction event that you re-flavoured? Was anyone actually "taken by Twolegs"? Did you manually kill or exile anyone?

I'm working on an adaptation of my own game, and I've re-flavoured plenty of in-game events for the narrative, so I'm always curious what's going on behind the scenes.

Fun fact, Fogtail's confession prompt actually happened on moon 49, but I moved it around to make the narrative flow better.

Adding in spooky Frozentangle was a last minute decision! Pricklekit's dream prompt was actually a nightmare about a rushing river. In the original concept comic for the murder panels, Fogtail hid Frozentangle's body in a nearby lake, so now I just can't help but associate her angry ass with water.
