Tedious were the missions, useless were the rewards. Munny was near useless to them, Hearts were scant on normal missions, this was just busy work. If you keep the gears turning they are less likely to stop, being directed in all directions slowed the oncoming resistance that would inevitably come. It would all come with time, but it is not that time. Deep in the bowls of The World that Never Was was something very tangible and real, a labryinth of flowers that were exempt from another Member's cold. The room is humid, leather is not best for the greenhouse, and neither is she. "Do not touch the flowers."
Maybe I'm Dreaming | Xion and Shiki
Twilight.
Where was this? How had she gotten here? This wasn't the first time she'd been taken to a world other than her own--unsuspectingly, without her discretion. But last time, it was Joshua's doing, to save her life. Give her another chance at life. But that was all in a dream, wasn't it?
Was... was this just another dream?
The girl gazed up at the clock tower miles above her. It was so different from an building she'd ever seen in Shibuya, in her life. It certainly seemed like something from a dream, but... she didn't feel like she was asleep. She felt lost, if only oddly calm, as well. Everything seemed at ease in this town, during the hour of twilight.
She'd seen a small stand selling ice cream... sea-salt flavored? This was getting stranger every second. Regardless, it wasn't busy aside from a single cloaked customer. Shiki made here way over, addressing the owner. "Excuse me," she said, meek as she always was, in her own skin. "Are we... anywhere near Shibuya?" she asked.
"Shibuya?" he replied, "Never heard of it. This is Twilight Town!"
"...Ah," was all Shiki said, as he confirmed this was, in fact, not near Shibuya. Of course. Wanting to cry, feeling so lost and alone, she hugged her plush closer. "Thank you..." she trailed off.
Shiki turned away, but as she did, she looked to the stranger next to her. They were hooded, she couldn't see their face--but she offered them a sad kind of smile, if only to be friendly. But then she turned away. Speaking softly, and just to herself, Shiki whispered, "Please tell me I'm dreaming."
