This white gown with embroidery and beading on the front was created for Vivien Leigh to wear as Karen Stone in the 1961 adaptation of Tennessee William’s 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑹𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝑺𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝑴𝒓𝒔.𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒆. In the film, Stone is going onstage as Rosalind in 𝑨𝒔 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝑳𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝑰𝒕.   The costume went on to be worn by an extra in 𝑨𝒏𝒏𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑻𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑫𝒂𝒚𝒔 in 1961, as well as by Barbara Windsor as Bettina in the 1971 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒚 𝒐𝒏 𝑯𝒆𝒏𝒓𝒚.   Can you imagine wearing a costume created for Vivien Leigh?
