It’s been over two weeks since I finished Little Black Bird by the amazing Anna from @rattletheshelves, and I tried and tried to put my thoughts into a comprehensive review, but I can’t. I simple can’t write an objective review about a book that ended up meaning so much to me 💛 I wish I had this book when I was younger. Not because this is targeted at a younger group of readers than me, but, because of the amazing asexual rep in this, I perhaps wouldn’t have grown up thinking I was broken. It would help me understand that, if I don’t feel comfortable kissing a boy or having him touch me, it doesn’t mean I’m frigid. That’s it’s okay to not be sure what label fits best, or that it’s okay to not put a label on myself at all. That it’s okay to question 💛 If you didn’t already get that I adore this book with my who heart, now you do. If you like a good urban fantasy with a mythology not widely shown in the mainstream media (Slavic), no-bullshit writing and great characters and family and found-family dynamic, pick Little Black Bird up. I cried numerous times while reading it 💛 #books #bookstagram #littleblackbird #annakirchner #annakirchnerauthor #slavicmythology #urbanfantasy #bookpic #ereader #asexualrepresentation #aromanticrepresentation #asexual #aromantic #ipad https://www.instagram.com/p/CCd9Vvkgt4H/?igshid=17jtx01ibrh39
