KnockOut talking about Wildbreak: Look at my son! Pride is not the word I'm looking for, there is so much more inside me now.
@anmate. “ you can talk to me, or not talk to me, but i’m here. ” june from that one au you know the one ACCEPTING
His brow creased, the wild red hair of his holoform had fallen from it’s bun forming a halo of fire around his darkened face. For a moment he sat fiddling with his wedding ring. It wasn’t something that mechs wore, but he’d come to appreciate the meaning of it for humans.
After a moment he reached out, taking her hand in both of his. Just letting it hang there between them as he stared somewhere into the middle distance. One thumb slowly rubbing the back of her hand.
“Thank you June,” It was a soft sound. “It’s just... so strange feeling so still. I could outrun any issue I ever had back then. I was going too fast to ever have to worry about anything, now I’m still && all I have is time to think about ... about everything.”
@anmate. “ am i a bad person ? ” wildbreak ACCEPTING
You are a product of your environment, the words he’d been told so many times seemed to bounce around his processor. A product of a world that held speed up in a god-like manner. So when he was fast, when he was gorgeous ... he never had to learn kindness. Being gentle was something that never even occurred to him, softness was foreign. When his home fell to war, he slid so naturally into the role.
“No.” The way KnockOut said it left no room for argument, which is how he often spoke but this was unique. He fixed Wildbreak with a hard look, full of love && desperation. “You may have done bad things, but you are not bad. You are anything but-” His voice ends with a quiet strain. Static breaking for just a hint of a moment.
KnockOut pressed his servo gently to the side of Wildbreak’s helm. His son was nothing like him in the end, && despite his failings he couldn’t help but find comfort in all the ways he was like Breakdown.
Pale memories crept into his head uninvited. It was Silas, he would tell himself. Yet he’d still watched as what had once been his Conjux’s body twitch && howl in pain. KnockOut had done so without remorse ...
Wildbreak was nothing like KnockOut, he was not a bad person. He vented uneasily, && took comfort in that.
