aight my dude (for the inbox love thing) i am obsessed with three songs: fiction by sumika, bad boy by red velvet, and re-bye by akdong musician!!! lemme know what you think of them (none of my friends listen to that music (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`))
hey! thanks for the ask! fiction is nice and upbeat, and re-bye is really good. i’ve listened to akmu a few times before but i think i’m going to listen to them more now! and i listened to bad boy for an entire day when it first came out so now i hate it lol
sometimes i think i have a good grasp of the english language but just now i searched “something goes up word” in google because i forgot the word “raising” existed.

Hi! Just saw you’re learning python by yourself! Can I ask how?? O.o Oh and which anime are you into? :D
Hi there!!! My answer is under the cut because this post turned out to be longer than I thought it would be.
I personally use a lot of resources to learn Python and my study methods aren’t necessarily the most organized. However, I hope these links will be able to help you! (*^ワ^*)
1) Codecademy
Codecademy’s Python course was my first real introduction to the language. Overall, it does a very good job at explaining the fundamental parts of the language and I feel like I had a very good core understanding of the concepts needed to program in Python after I finished the course! Highly recommend; 10/10
2) Learn Python The Hard Way
After completing the Codecademy Python course, I started working through this book. I haven’t completed it yet (mainly due to being sidetracked with other books) but LPTHW also gives good explanations and examples to Python concepts. However, it’s a pretty heavy/information-filled book (306 pages!), so it can seem a bit overwhelming at first. 9.5/10
3) r/python
It might not be the best for beginners, but r/python has some pretty good resources if you’re wiling to dig through past posts. One thing that’s really helped me (although I haven’t finished one yet, despite the numerous ones I’ve created) are the 20 minute projects that get posted in the subreddit. Looking at the posts/videos allow me to see how to code something that one can actually use. 7.9/10
4) newcoder.io
I personally haven’t used this much, but I’ve seen a lot of people on Quora and Reddit talk about how this website was really useful to them, so it’s worth a try! Can’t say anything much about it personally, though. ???/10 (I’ll post a followup on this after I’ve done more exercises on this website)

As for my favorite anime, there are a lot:
Fandom-wise (i.e i’m really active in the fandoms) I like Love Live!, Love Live! Sunshine!!!, and My Hero Academia.
Aesthetics and story-wise I’m into Houseki no Kuni/Land of the Lustrious, Mahoutsukai no Yome/The Ancient Magus’ Bride, Violet Evergarden, Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei/The Tatami Galaxy, and Made in Abyss.
My favorite older animes are Cowboy Bebop, Sailor Moon, and Revolutionary Girl Utena.
My favorite series overall would be Little Witch Academia, Free!, One Punch Man, Kimi no Na wa (does this count as a series???), and Yuri!!! On Ice.
Thanks so much for the ask! Hope that wasn’t too much of an information overload. (ノ*゜▽゜*)
thank you so much (as always) for tagging me, @rhinestudy!
rules: talk about your resolutions for the summer and your plan for achieving them, then tag some people! if you did new year’s resolutions, feel free to look at and think about those again for the summer!
1) work on my target languages!
german: i have to take dsd ii (as well as the ap german exam) this year and i really wanna pass it so i can go to university in germany!!! since i only have german classes on the weekends i don’t really have coursework that i’m required to do (and i neglected it a lot last year), but i really need to step up my game this year. i’m starting to look for language exchange partners and i’m going to finish the duolingo german tree.
mandarin chinese: mainly revising/relearning all the characters in traditional instead of simplified form. taking notes from the chinese grammar wiki to get ahead. start watching taiwanese dramas/movies. record audio for the annual chinese music video project so i don’t stress out during the last few weeks of school. also looking for chat partners.
korean: get through korean made simple (since i only started learning it seriously a few weeks ago) and get as much exposure to the language as possible via music and dramas.
2) keep working on programming!
i really need to brush up on my programming skills because i’m taking ap comp sci principles and i’m going to hackathons with my school’s programming club. i restarted the codecademy python course (for the fifth time ^_^;; ) and i’m to take actual handwritten notes when going through it. i’m also starting to learn basic ruby and c#.
3) clean up my room!
it’s honestly a huge mess and i’d really like to have it clean for the new school year. i read marie kondo’s “the life-changing magic of tidying up” and i’m going to tidy it based on her methods. let’s see how it looks by the end of summer!
4) start running every day!
i won’t have pe for junior and senior year but i’d still like to stay in shape. i took a break for two weeks after school ended but i’m going to start to run this week.
(on an additional note: eat healthier!)
5) work on my summer assignments!
i have summer homework for precalc, apush, ap lang, and honors physio, and i don’t want to procrastinate on the assignments until a week before school started (like last year).
6) start studying for the sat!
kind of self explanatory
i’m tagging: @ghiblistudyy, @egguy, @mojitostudies, @cloudy-langblr, @patriotstudies, and @stellur, as well as anyone else who wants to do this! (but don’t feel obligated to do this if you don’t want to!)
