concept art for my original species, the Animeria Mesluium, Or better know as their common name; the Animira.

These are native to levix and are very powerful magic users, They’re known as a parasitic creature that will manipulate via shapeshifting and feed off their soul. they are unable to reproduce on their own and must implant their young within a being with a soul.

Animira's hold a sentience level on par with humans and are acutely aware of their parasitic nature.

Due to the fact that all Animira's start life as half human (or human like) allot of them feel a sort of guilt for feeding off of people who where just like them. this guilt can lead to avoidance to eat or shedding their humanlike form quicker due to feeding off their own soul.

As for Culture, Animiras mostly mimic the culture around them to blend in better. however when this isn't the case they're known to live in caves, They don't normally have leaders and are more community driven

They have a frequency where they're able to communicate with the whole hive if need be. They find the people in their hive very important to them and will sometimes invite trusted outsiders. Even if these outsiders have a soul Animira's would find it taboo to eat them as they see welcomed guests as part of their hive. Thats not to say it doesn't happen.

They worship under the goddesses Evil and Good, They use Planting flora and Being creative as a way to honor the gods and as a holy practice. Morning Worship for Good and Night time worship for Evil. They care very much for keeping balance.
