Summary: He was your summer, your autumn, your winter, and your spring. Â
Genre: Fluff with lots of angst. A fluffy ending!

The summer was full of so many good memories.
You both lived so dearly in each moment, reveling in the endless concerts and road trips.
You were both like the wild Fae, dancing and dancing into the night with no one but each-other by your sides.
So as the leaves turned brown and dancing became afternoon strolls, you readied yourself for a blissful winter, one full of hot food and comforting nights.
Autumn bought new experiences, new ideas even. Hyunjins birthday had seemed to come quite fast, and you werenât sure what to get him. Something meaningful perhaps?
This led you to enslave Minho as your personal shopping assistant.
As you step outside, Minho at your side, the air is cool, the breeze carrying the leaves down the street in a tornado-like hustle.
Padded jackets on and laces done tight, you push through into the day, cheeks left slightly red and stinging when you arrive at a small jewelry shop not too far away from the dorms.
âI think heâd like a bracelet, you know. Actually, heâll like anything that comes from you.â
You glare up at the male, flat look on your features.
âIt has to be perfect, you know that. Thatâs why I need you to help me.â
The boy smiles, rolling his eyes before pointing to the bracelet you were looking at.
âI know for a fact heâll like that bracelet Y/N.â
You examine the bracelet carefully in your hands.
âYou really think so? Itâs not too boring of a gift?â
Minho leans down to catch your eye, a gentle smile on his features. âGet the bracelet. Heâll love it.â
Smiling brightly, you turn to the cashier, asking her if you can purchase the bracelet.
Youâre to caught up in your thoughts to notice Minho turning around, phone pressed to his ear, but when he suddenly grabs your arm as soon as the bag touches your fingertips, you know somethings wrong.
âPull your hood up. Paparazzi know weâre here.â
And with his words, your tugging at your hood, the boy doing the same.
Both sprinting out of the shop, you try your best to ignore the flashes and focus yourself on getting to the car to get out of this flurry of people.
Breathing a sigh of relief, both of you are quick to get into the car. The sound of camera flashes almost nonexistent over the sound of the engine as you speed back to the dorms.
âShit that was close.â Minho pants, looking back at the group of people who seem to be fading out of sight entirely.Â
You nod in agreement, too puffed to even speak.
The bag is held tightly in your fingers, safe from total damnation.
Minho gesture to the bag.
âAre you going to hide that somewhere?â
You nod, a quick smile playing on your lips.
âIn the laundry, right on the top shelf where I keep the extra washing powder. Heâll never look there.â
The boy smiles, nodding.
âThatâs a good place indeed. Heâll never find that.â
Only a few days later, your winter coat seems to hold a different meaning, one that disguised your true intentions.
Youâre keen to get home, the long day of shift work at the local coffee shop making your back sore and your feet desperate for just even a second of a break. Your punching in the code to your apartment fast, craving the warmth of your heater in this cold weather.
But your shuffling feet come to a halt when you see a disgruntled Hyunjin in the living room, now standing as youâve entered.
The silence is eerie, too eerie. Itâs as if a string between you two had broken, but neither of you knows what string it is as work at desperately trying to repair it.
Heâd seen it, the photos of you and Minho, more malicious then youâd expected.
The news article depicts your search for the right birthday present as a secret date, a secret date with Minho.
And just like that, the leaves fade from a yellow-orange to a crumpled brown, stems bare as they face on the winter to come.Â
Talking turned to screaming in one falling leaf, so much doubt anxiety just adding fuel to the fire as you fight about one photo, one photo that has been read so completely wrong it makes you sick.
As the words come flying, it is clear there can be no take backs once they leave your mouths.
And just like that, autumn becomes winter in only a few short minutes.
The temperature in your house not only dips but as does the communication with Hyunjin; frozen, damaged and dying.
It only got colder.
The air around you is cold, thick with rain that seems to turn to ice the moment it hits your skin. Much like the water below you.
Gongdong bridge is nice this time of the night, one of your favorite spots in the whole of Seoul. A spot that made you unconditionally happy.
There was just something about the way the skyline met with Han River that made it so beautiful and fascinating.
But yet again, the water below seemed to reflect your missing half in the water below.
Pushing through the rain, you step closer to the railing, eyes falling to the rippling water below. The wind seeps into your bones, but you barely feel it over your eerie emptiness.
The rivers reflection of the night sky makes it appear as if an everlasting galaxy is laid across its surface. It almost looks peaceful; unsettlingly perfect. But beneath the surface is black, something much sinister than darkness itself, but somehow more comforting than the black abyss. Â
And the creatures in the river, were they sleeping? Were the fish sheltered under rocks or plants lying dormant until the first rays of sun hit the water? Or were they darting around, as awake as you are now?
You lean further over the rail, desperate to catch even a glimpse of the scaley creatures below. Are you awake? Are you here with me at this ungodly hour of the night?
"Y/N?"
The voice gives you a heart attack, body turning in the direction of the voice before your mind can even register.Â
Felix is walking towards you, fingers flexed over his phone.
There's something a little off about his appearance; it being more tattered than it usually was - hair wet and tousled by the wind and clothes soaked by the pouring rain. The boy takes deep breathes, suggesting that perhaps he'd been running. But in this weather?
"Y/N, we've been looking for you."
"We?" You question, eyes narrowing in on the boy.
"Yes, we. Hyunjin too," He swallows, hand reaching out from his pocket to gesture at you. "Just please move away from the railing, it's making me nervous."
So you push back, standing your ground a few feet from Felix, trying not to let the boy see how shocked you are.
Felix takes out his phone, pressing it to his ear to give a few short replies to the person on the other line.
"Yeah, I've found her... Gongdong Bridge... Okay, I'll do that... Be there soon."
He steps forward, phone now tucked into his pocket, and freehand raised to grab your arm. "I'm taking you back to the dorms."
You immediately recoil, pushing your wrist out from his grip, stepping back. Fresh tears roll down your cheeks, eyes filled with more to come.
The rain couldn't mask everything. Especially not your pain.
Shaking your head, you look up at the boy who seems just as shocked as you were.Â
"You're not taking me anywhere."
Soaked to the bone, your words make you shiver, light cardigan doing nothing in keeping you warm.
"Y/N please."
"No," Now you're physically shaking, tears rolling with the rain. "I will not go with you. I won't see him, I won't."
"Y/N."
This time it's not Felix, but someone else from behind you.
Turning quickly, your eyes are wide and glassy; vulnerable.
It's like he was untouched by the winter, eyes still holding the same glimmer as they did in the summer, just the way you remembered them to be. Clouds of breath swirl around him, damp hair catching ever so slightly in the breeze of the winter that seemed it would never end.
As he shifts to hold out his hand to you, you immediately back up, pulling not just your soaked cardigan closer to you, but your guards too.
But when you notice him tug at the sleeve of his own coat, revealing a glint of silver that seems to hit you straight in the chest.
The boy scans your features for a moment, looking down at the bracelet he now cradles with his other hand.
"Minho gave it to me on my birthday. He said it was from you.â
You say nothing, eyes wide and unblinking as you stare at the item youâd come to hate, despise.
âWell,â he sighs, âI say gave, but he actually threw it at me.
Hyunjins arms drop back to his sides, hands slipping into the pockets of his coat.
âHe had every right to.â
Finally, you two make eye contact. Itâs everything you remember, the brown bringing back so many fond memories of late night cuddles and peaceful mornings.
You find yourself melting into the summer a little, losing touch of the winter youâre in, the reality youâre in.
âI had no right to say what I did to you. To Minho too.â
The words make you break, another stray tear lost to the rain.
âYou know,â Hyunjin shifts his gaze to the watery horizon, now barely visible in the dark. âHe told me everything a few days after it happened. How it was a surprise for me, how he felt nothing towards you, everything you said to me that night in your apartment. I was stupid, stupid enough to ignore you-â
His voice breaks off with a crack, eyes desperately searching for something lost in the distance before coming to rest on you, his lost treasure.
âYouâre stupid Hyunjin.â You finally speak, eyes scanning his, your eyes as cold as the river below you both.
âI know!â He cries, âI know I am! I let the most precious thing I ever had slip out of my fingers. I loved you Y/N, I still do love you!â
âYou have no idea how hard these few weeks have beenâ you monotone, eyes glazed over; frozen with tears.
âHwang Hyunjin we both said some terrible things.â
His gaze is now on his feet, the rain barely masking the tears rolling down his cheeks.
âBut Iâve missed you too much.â
Eyes wide, his gaze snaps to you as you almost subconsciously walk towards him, attracted like a magnet.
Standing in front of each other, you can practically see just how the winter has affected him; eyes red-rimmed, breathing labored, cheeks wet with a mixture of rain and tears.
Throwing your arms around the boy, you canât but help let out a sigh of familiarity at how it feels, how well you just fit together.
In an instance, the ice melts away. Spring ignites your senses, waking them from the harsh winter as warmth spreads up your veins, through your bloodstream.
Pulling back you see the same warmth in his eyes as they held in the summer, gleaming with a softness only you knew.
His jacket around your shoulders is as warm as you remembered, hands tangled and afraid to let go.

_____________________________________
University, the best years of your life some say. Yet, university had easily worked its way into being the most stressful part of your life. You were really beginning to doubt if your degree was even worth it anymore.
But of course, heâs there.
Jeon Jungkook, Your boyfriend of 5 years. Heâs been there all the way through it. Though the application process all the way to the studying for your final exams that were in a few weeks.
Studying was tough, but you were almost at the end. And it would be so worth it.
You sigh, signing your name amongst the thousands of others on the lined paper. Exam season unfortunately meant a jam-packed library.
Sitting down at a small desk in the corner, you pull out the books from your bag. A light wind generated from your rapid flipping of pages tousles your hair, your eyes scanning over the blank pages for a sign of your cursive handwriting.
Expecting the few lines of a summary, youre instead met with the small, neat handwriting of your boyfriend.
You roll your eyes at the note, a smile gracing your lips. These were special moments you cherished.
You were both so busy that small, precious notes were the only way you two could comunicate in the day.
Closing the book, you reach for the small stash of palm cards in your planner but instead.
âFighting!â
You canât help but laugh at Yoongiâs messy scrawl.
Had everyone written you a note of motivation?
Taehyung, than Seokjin, Hoseok, Namjoon and even Jimin, all seven of the boys reminded you to stay on top of your studies, and remember to take a break when you needed it most.
Sighing happily, you began your summary on your essay.
These boys knew just what you needed today.
How long you actually studied, you had no idea. But the ringing of what signaled the end of a hard day of studying made you race to your car, desperate to get home.
Today, the beautiful evening pink sky made you feel somewhat better about your study, but made you even more excited to get home.
*****
Shoving the keys into the door, your mind is pounding with the positive words of the notes and with the sligh headache of long term study. You remind yourself to bring you glasses with you tomorrow.
âHey!â
His silky voice is music to your ears, your preoccupied mind melting away in an instant, but the sight of your planner clutched in your hand is enough to arise the bittersweet reality of today. You still needed to study.
Sighing slightly at the work ahead, you walk into the kitchen, dropping your bag onto the tiled floor beneath you.
Youâre met with the gaze of your boyfriend, who stands in the kitchen, coffee in hand. His eyes are glazed with worry as they scan your face.
You smile brightly, assuring him that you were just tired. He mirrors your smile, satisfied that you were okay.
Putting your planner down, you hummed in procrastination, Jungkook raising his eyebrows at you. He knew your procrastination habits were bad.
âLet me guess, youâre not going to do that.â
âNope.â
He laughed at you, âSo what are you going to do?â
You smiled, a perfect plan for tonight forming in your mind.
âIâm going to go have a shower.â
The warm water washes away your troubles, settling yourself on the couch wrapped in the comfort of your favourite blanket to further relax yourself. The random movie playing on the television doesnât quite have all your attention as you wait for him. But the moment he walks in, you feel yourself relax a bit more. He sits down next to you, estranging no words as he moves to get comfortable.
As moments pass, your studying mind eases just by his presence.
âY/N.â
Your eyes shift from the tv in front of you to your boyfriend.
But his eyes are already trained on you. Your heart pounds at just the site of him.
âHi.â
You smile at the simple words. âHi.â
Laying his head on your shoulder, you hear him sigh in content.
This was rare, the two of you being at home together, uninterrupted. One or all of the boys were normally over after they finished practice. And sometimes you werenât home until late hours in the night, staying up at the local library drilling the countless words sequence into your head.
âYou know how that Iâm so proud of you right?â He asks, pulling you a little closer to him.
Nodding, you take in his rare scent and presence.
âThen youâll believe me when I say youâve been overworking yourself?â
Sighing, you nod again. Itâs true. The exams, now less than a week away, weâre being to replace your boyfriend. The desk now your bed, and the words formed by your pen replaced the texts from phone.
But somehow, you still couldnât get your head around this essay, and it was stressing you out.
âYouâve been so busy getting ready for the next comeback and youâre always so tired or busy⊠I didnât want to bother you with a meaningless essay.â You tell him. It was the truth after all.
Amongst all the positivity in your life, this was one you couldnât really control. And you wanted to be able to do it yourself.
This time itâs his turn to sigh. He shakes his head at your words.
âJagi. Seriously, I donât care if you wake me at 3 in the morning to tell me youâre having a problem studying. I can help. I want to help. These exams are hard, and I want to help as much as I can. You know that I love you unconditionally, and you know I hate seeing you under so much stress? So please, let me help you somehow. â
His words hit you right in the heart, youâre eyes avoiding him in guilt. Youâre speechless at his sincere words. It had not even occurred to you to ask him for help while you two were at home like this. You were so determined to just spend time with him that you... you procrastinated a lot, than made up for lost time at the library.
But Jungkook has his own plans to help you de stress today.
Taking your hand, he pulls you up from your comfortable spot on the couch and guides you to your shared bedroom. Gesturing for you to lie down, as he climbs into his side of the bed. You obey his gesture, climbing into your own side, and pulling the covers over yourself.
âWhat are you -â he cuts you off with a finger to your lips.
âCuddling.â
His lame reply makes you smile, rolling your eyes a little at his goofy smile. The essay completely gone from your mind.
He pulls you close, intertwining your limbs to ensure there was no gap between you both, your head pushed into his chest.
A soft smile graces your features as you pull back to take a look at him, your noses now touching. He laughs at the gesture, making you shyly pull back a bit more. But your shyness only makes him laugh more, instead, he opts for a different approach to your shy nature - closing the gap between you both.
His lips are soft on yours, the kiss being slow but full of passion. Every brush of lips against lips sends shivers down your spine. The quick swiping of his thumb on your cheekbone and the silent shaky breaths calming the raging storm in your mind, the memories of today completely melted away by this moment.
He was worth it all.
His touch, his kiss, his breath. It is worth all the short amount of time youâre werenât studying.
You smile into the kiss, Jungkooks touch sending ripples of shivers down your body. When the kiss is broken, you both are left completely breathless.
âI love you. So much.â Your breath, your eyes flicking up to meet his warm brown ones.
He smiles, chest heaving as he tries to catch his breath.
