The father of our beloved Brittany, Angelo Bertolotti, joined her this past Tuesday, January 22, after battling for his health.

Our condolences to family and friends. There is no way to express how much we feel sorry for the loss. He was a great man.

He fought bravely to bring justice to his deceased daughter, and one day, this fight will have its solution.

You should know this baby from the photo. Her name is Brittany Anne Bertolotti, but you probably know her as Brittany Murphy! Her father has always shown a lot of love for her daughter, and since her death, he shares (on twitter, follow him @BrittMurphyDad) her childhood photos.

SHARON REPEATEDLY DENIED THAT ANGELO BERTOLOTTI WAS BRITTANY’S FATHER, AND FALSELY CLAIMED THAT HE WAS NOT PART OF HER LIFE.

She had the father’s name listed as “unknown” on Brittany’s death certificate.

In an interview with Larry King , she answered “So she had no father growing up?” with “No. No. Not at all”, despite that he was named on her birth certificate, and that her passport  – sold by Sharon along with other items having belonged to Brittany – bore the name Bertolotti. 

Through her then publicist, Roger Neal, Sharon repeated in 2011 that Angelo was not Brittany’s father, and bizarrely added that a blood test proved it

In November 2013, an open letter purportedly from Sharon appeared in The Hollywood Reporter.  While she had by this stage dropped the claim that Angelo was not Brittany’s father, she did claim that he was not involved in her life. Photographs prove that this is not true…

Sharon is the one who has actually become estranged from her family, her brother’s obituary did not mention her in an otherwise comprehensive list of surviving relatives.

Was Sharon’s pretence that Angelo is not Brittany’ s father motivated by a fear that he may have some claim on her estate? Did Sharon persuade Brittany to change her legal name to Murphy (in 2004, when her earnings were at a peak) for the same reason? Did she also persuade Brittany to make her the sole beneficiary of her will, and to exclude Simon? In later years, as Brittany’s earnings declined, was Sharon tempted to expedite her inheritance?

SHARON SHOWED A WILLINGNESS TO EXPLOIT BRITTANY’S NAME FINANCIALLY 

Within a month of Brittany’s death, Sharon and Simon appeared on the Today show, and used the appearance to announce that they were setting up a charity foundation in her name. The foundation was controversial from the start, and quickly closed with this message. However, by 2011 the website was asking for donations without giving any details on how the money would be spent, and falsely claiming that Brittany herself had established it. It finally closed permanently, and should not be confused with a new foundation established by Angelo Bertolotti.

In April 2013, Sharon auctioned off personal items having belonged to Brittany. This time there was no pretence that the money would be going to charity, and the sale included not only large items, but even Brittany’s passport – did this suggest perhaps someone who is more interested in money than remembering her daughter?

 SHARON DELAYED IN SUMMONING MEDICAL AID IN BOTH BRITTANY’S AND SIMON’S CASES

In the Larry King interview Simon quoted Brittany as having said “Mom, I’m dying, I love you” on the morning of her death. Sharon admitted that this was an hour before 911 was called..

MONJACK: Leading into the morning and then a few days — that morning she woke up. She couldn’t breathe. She went out and get — to get some air. Sharon followed her out. I’ll — I’ll say this, because I know you can’t. She said, “Mom, I’m dying. I love you.” And… KING: “Mom, I’m dying. I love you.” She knew she was dying? MONJACK: I believe… S. MURPHY: This was about an hour before but… MONJACK: No, no, no, baby, this was — you’ve forgotten time. S. MURPHY: Oh, sweetheart — it — oh…

In Simon’s case, Sharon delayed in calling 911 for so long that Simon was found to be already dead by paramedics – this despite desperate pleas by telephone from Simon’s mother.

 TISSUE SAMPLES TAKEN FROM BRITTANY REVEALED ABNORMALLY HIGH LEVELS OF HEAVY METALS

During Brittany’s autopsy, no test for poisons was undertaken. This is apparently standard, absent a specific allegation citing the poison in question, according to LA County Coroner Chief of Operations, Craig Harvey

After a lengthy legal battle, tissue samples were released to a private laboratory for testing. A second lab confirmed the results.

Sharon lived with Brittany throughout her marriage (and indeed throughout her life). She would’ve had daily access to Brittany’s food and medication, and the same would’ve been true in Simon’s case, since he continued to live with Sharon until his own death.

SHARON HAS NOT RESPONDED TO A MURDER ACCUSATION

Despite having previously reacted angrily to the suggestion that she delayed in summoning medical aid (which she had effectively admitted in the Larry King interview) and to the suggestion that Brittany was poisoned by persons unknown, Sharon has not at the time of writing given any response whatsoever to a direct murder accusation, let alone sued. This despite having shown preparedness to litigate in an opportunist suit against her lawyers which required that she reverse her earlier stance on the mold issue.
