Dick was a Angel, but after he saw what would happen to the world and how darkness would get stronger. He decided to help the people.

He cut his wings and mades them to Mary and John Grayson. He manipulates the memories from the circus and he becomes a human. Dick knows to become a human he has to forget everything when he was a Angel, but he knows  that isn't important that he hasn't his memories, because he will always be a light to the darkness and with his heart and soul he wants to help people.

Give a street kid a home and even after he died and come back, he kills doesn't mean he doesn't know what is right and what not.
