Dear Gus & Magnus,

We had Magnus's soccer game this morning, then after lunch Mom dropped you both at Yiayia's house to spend the night. Mom worked the PHE table at Harvestfest. Meanwhile I took myself to the movies. I haven't been to the movie theatre but probably half a dozen times in the last decade, but I've been excited to see "One Battle After Another."

The movie was good, but the act of taking myself there was fantastic. I went to Riverdale 10, which I used to hit four or five days a week my first couple of years of college -- they had a $4 matinee at 4pm every day.

I need to do better about scheduling time for myself.

My 25-year class reunion had its adults-only event at Sterling Market. It was good to hang out with the old crew, but my favorite thing was that Andy Nicholas (who is my favorite person to follow on social media) rolled in wearing the McDonald's uniform he wore for work when we were in high school, and he brought a real-deal video camera from 1989. Seeing the footage is like looking back in time.
