“You smell really nice.” Viktor murmured as he leaned over his boyfriend’s shoulder. Yuuri was sitting on the couch, reading a book. Makkachin was resting on his knees. Yuuri blushed. “Vitya.....” he muttered, embarrassed. While they had been living together a month now, he was still a bit self conscious. Viktor kissed his cheek and wrapped his arms around his boyfriend’s shoulders. “Enjoying the book?”
“Mmmmmhmmm.” Yuuri hummed, still lost in one of the fictional worlds his mind often urged him to run off to. Viktor understood, he loved books as well. But in his mind, books were for the alone and lonely. What did Yuuri need a book for when he had the amazing Viktor-in-the-flesh-himself to talk to?
He scanned the page for a moment, caught up in the warmth of Yuuri’s sweater. Eventually, though, he got bored. He let go and started pacing around the living room. “Want to see the new trick I taught Makkachin?”
“The one where she rolls over and plays dead.”
“You showed me that last week.” Viktor frowned. Was he really that uninteresting? He walked up in front of Yuuri, touching his nose with his own. “Yuuuuri.” He purred. “Eeeek! VITYAA!” Yuuri squeaked. Viktor flashed him the most seductive™ eyes he could muster, and lifted his chin. “Yuuuurrrriiiii, are you really fascinated by that book, when all your dreams come true is right here?” He frowned. “I demand you do something with me! Pleaseeeee?” The sexy moment was lost as he began to pout.
“Lets go on a date! To the park! Anywhere! Pleaseeeee.” Yuuri looked up into Viktor’s pleading eyes and chuckled. He didn’t realize until he was too far gone that not only did he adopt Makkachin, but another dog as well. Viktor was very much like a big puppy with the innocence of a child and the seduction ability of a porn star. He was full of contradictions, but that’s what drew him in to begin with. Yuuri knew he would never get more reading done, so he resigned himself to close the book. “Fine, we’ll go to the park.”
“Yippee!!!” Viktor squealed. He quickly grabbed Makkachin’s leash and began to run out the door. “Come on, let’s gooooo!” Yuuri laughed and put on his shoes. He was ok with following Viktor to the park. He was ok with following him anywhere. Because books were amazing. But this was real, and he didn’t want to miss any of it.
