When I was in Brazil, we went to this river in a city called 'Nobres.' You had to put on life jackets, goggles, snorkels, and these foamy sandals because you weren't supposed to touch the floor of the river. The minute I got into the water, it was incredible. It was so, amazingly clear with these exotic fish everywhere. The sand was pink and it bubbled like it was boiling. I got to float down this river with some of my best exchange student friends and just look at the fish, the shells, and the sand... I can't even explain how beautiful it was. That same week, we visited these incredible waterfalls and hiked to the top of them and then swam in the lagoons below... I have some pictures of them that I'll post.
