This was beyond strange. She knew who she was, and she knew what she was, but based on everything she knew, she shouldn’t exist anymore. Or rather, she should be in someone’s head. She also knew why she wasn’t. She’d been built, salvaged from memories and reconstructed. A Frankenstein’s Monster of cogs and cognition. Her memories weren’t even her own. Or maybe they were? It was all so hard to comprehend.
Metis sighed. She’d been waiting for a few minutes now. Supposedly, she was supposed to meet her “sister” here, but she was beginning to wonder if she was even here. She had to be, right? She felt nervous. Every facet of her being was screaming to just leave. What was she even supposed to say when they met?
