This was a date, but they were keeping things casual.  Maybe it was just him, but Finn was a little confused by this.  If Andrew wanted to keep this casual, that was totally fine, but if in that case, was this really a date?  For some reason, Finn had trouble wrapping his head around that, but he didn’t really need to.  All he needed to know was that he was going out with a friend and very likely getting laid tonight.  Andrew had given Finn his address, so after getting ready, he headed to meet his friend.  Pulling up in front of the house, Finn walked up to the door, ringing the bell.  As he waited, Finn looked down at his clothes, wondering if he was dressed alright.  He had a plaid button down shirt and nice jeans, an outfit that seemed casual but not too casual.  That was maybe the hardest part of this, figuring out what to wear on a casual date between friends who like to have sex.  Maybe Finn was just overthinking it.

Finn: So I had a lot of fun the other night. Want to repeat it? You can still spend the night even without a storm to use as an excuse.

Finn was not a naïve man.  When he had invited Andrew over to his house, there was part of him that thought it could be leading somewhere that involved them taking their clothes off.  After all, Andrew had seemed interested in him, as much as Finn had been in Andrew, and he’d invited him over to watch a gay porno that may or may not have been filmed in their town.  That in itself was like the beginning of a porn, and Finn laughed to himself when he thought of that.  How had he gotten into this situation?  Normally Finn wasn’t so forward, but there’d been serious sparks between the two men, and truthfully, Finn really, really needed to get laid.  Ever since his wife had died, he had had trouble being with women, never being able to go all the way with them.  It wasn’t that he wasn’t attracted to them or turned on by them, but whenever he got close to sealing the deal, an undeniable sense of guilt came over him.  It felt a bit like he was cheating, even though rationally Finn knew that wasn’t the case.  But with men, it had always been easier, so he wasn’t sure why he’d been in such a dry spell.  Maybe that was going to end tonight.  Standing at his front window and staring outside, Finn watched the impending storm blow in, and he wondered if they would lose power.  It had been awhile since Everwood had had a storm like this.  Hopefully if that happened it would be after he and Andrew had figured out if the video had been filmed in their town, but regardless, Finn knew they’d find something fun to do.”
