It's a riot that the pair use the words "unpleasant" and "awful" to describe the sounds it makes. They're sounds that I got in the 90s by plugging my guitar directly into my stereo's cassette deck. But because Andertons is trying to sell a product, they're working overtime to convince us that it's "cool." More power to JHS for being old school snake oil salesman: recognizing the talent of someone like Mk.gee and trying to bottle it in a pedal, then sell it to the masses. But there are only a few musicians that can take stereotypically unpleasant sounds and turn them into art (Sonic Youth and Jesus and Mary Chain come to mind).
