What's going on with Arrow? And some marriage? I don't watch so I don't see the problematic.

I haven’t actually watched the most recent episode, so take everything I say with a grain of salt. I think what happened is the villain decided that his daughter and his chosen (male) heir to his group of assassins should get married to each other (...it’s a messed up show sometimes) and it seems problematic to me because the daughter is canonically not heterosexual (fandom tends to assume she’s gay, but she could identify otherwise). This comes after the only other queer representation (a female character who was presumably bisexual although the writers refused to label her as such, or at all) was (spoiler alert) killed off so that another (male) character could develop. So this just kind of felt like another instance of them writing off the fact that a character was gay/bi/pan/etc and not addressing it and forgetting that representation matters.
