I don't why, but I always imagine this when I'm bored or going to sleep:
So Virgil's tossing and turning all night because he's overheating because his room's stuffy and the heater's out of wack. By the time 5 A.M. comes, he ultimately decides to sleep under his bed because it's always cold under there. So he wraps up in a blanket burrito and rolls under the bed and falls into a deep sleep quickly.
8 A.M. comes, and the other five are eating breakfast. Roman is sent to get Virgil for breakfast since he didn't come down for some reason? 10 minutes later Roman runs into the kitchen in a panic and says he can't find Virgil.
Cue the Sides freaking having a search and rescue for the entire day, looking everywhere in the mindscape and even telling Thomas to keep an eye out for him.
Eventually (at 7 P.M.), they all end up inside Virgil's room (they made spare rooms so the other Sides wouldn't be affected by the aura) and are just yelling and screaming at each other in rage and panic, unknowingly waking Virgil up.
"SHUT THE HELL UP."
And they're just looking everywhere until Virgil pokes his head out from under the bed, making all of them scream. Virgil just yawns and tells them to be quiet so he can sleep, rolling back under the bed.
The next day Virgil explains why he was sleeping there, and the others fix Virgil's heating system so he doesn't put them in that situation again.
Jokes on them though. Virgil does many things that worry them constantly.
