- American vampire mythos, pre-Dracula (I ordered a used copy of Food for the Dead on my last Amazon order.)
- Female medieval rulers (I read a bio on Joanna of Naples and the not terribly useful but very interesting... The Maid and the Queen? I want to say it was a Goldstone bio, it was about Yolande of Aragon and Joan of Arc.)
- Victorian marriage and inheritance laws (I have a fascinating trail of biographies that I’ve been using, from the Countess of Strathmore {Wedlocked} to Lady Worsley {The Lady in Red} to Theresa Yelverton {Wild Romance} to Caroline Norton and the laws she inspired {Criminal Conversation of Mrs. Norton})
